Software Design Engineer .NET – Issaquah, WA

Overview

As a Software Design Engineer at Syncronex you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional R&D team. Your contribution will be critical to the delivery of Syncronex’s multi-tiered, services-based Newspaper Suite of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Responsible for designing and developing web and services-based applications using ASP.NET and related technologies.
 Write high quality code that is easily maintainable.
 Communicate and defend design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of subsystem to team members and development lead.

 Web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery))
 ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework, C#, F#
 NoSQL Database Management Systems
 Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

 Minimum 2 years of experience with web-based programming technologies (JavaScript(jQuery), HTML, Ajax, etc.).
 Experience with .NET framework and technologies, especially ASP.NET MVC.
 Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field (or 3 years work experience in a technology-related field).
 Excellent communication skills.
 Extremely committed, self-motivated team player.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

 Good understanding of Web-based application design tools and concepts (CSS,  Responsive Design, cross browser compatibility issues, CSS frameworks—i.e., Twitter Bootstrap).
 Experience with large scale (i.e., high transaction volume) distributed (n-tier) software architectures.
 Good understanding of Object Oriented design patterns and techniques.
 Knowledge of functional programming concepts and languages a definite plus.
