Duet is engineered to solve three main problems:
Performance, Portability and Cost.
Duet takes a modern approach to integrating Adobe InDesign directly into your CMS and ROP Advertising Layout system. The result is a single, powerfully simple workflow for writers, editors, designers, production staff and photographers.
Advanced Software Architecture
Using an adaptive layer that is completely agnostic to the content source, you can use Duet with any content repository that exposes content through an API, creating the ultimate in portability.
This is very different than the competition. They connect InDesign to their workflow only – keeping you trapped and paying more money – as they don’t have the technology to support a standalone InDesign workflow.
Control your own destiny, lower your costs and connect to any source for your content and advertising.
Duet runs on your local workstation
Finally, InDesign can be loaded directly on the designer's workstation. This provides the ultimate in performance and flexible workflows. It also allows the Publisher more choices in where they want pages to be stored – on a local server or any cloud-based system.
Our competitors force you to use InDesign over-the-wire using emulation software such as Citrix. This adds layers of complexity, constant IT problems, invites security issues and glitches — and forces you to rely on things you cannot control (such as internet connectivity).
Experience a huge boost in performance, reduced frustration, and dramatic costs savings. With Duet you are in control and can set your own cost structure for page storage.
ROP Advertising Layout Systems
Expand your choices by ingesting Ad Manifest files from any ROP Advertising Layout System. Automatically build your InDesign pages for designers and staff in a snap.
Duet's Inventory Pallet
Easy to learn, simple to use. The Inventory Pallet allows page designers to get content from a data source and layout using the power of InDesign on the desktop. Duet tools define custom workflows, manage multiple page documents, create jumps, define defaults, associate library items to content, search the data repository and create content from the page and send it back to the data repository.
Duet will be in use by Early Adopters in April 2020 with market-wide availability July 2020.
